Wilson Thomas Ford, 60 of King City passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at his home. All who knew him called him Tom.

A Celebration of his life will be held 2pm, Wednesday, November 2nd at the First Baptist Church in King City.

Born in Helena, Arkansas he came to California with his family at the age of 5. He was a graduate of King City High School in 1970. After high school he moved to Ohio to be with family. There he met his future wife, Cheryl Shannon. They were married and lived there for several years. They moved back to California in 1982 and have lived in King City ever since.

Tom was a member of the First Baptist Church of King City. He enjoyed coin collecting, traveling, metal detecting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cheryl Ann Ford; sons, David Wilson Ford and wife Angela Gober Ford, Justin Thomas Ford and wife Kang-Yu Ni–Ford; mother, Opal Lucille Ford and father, Wilson "Willie" Ford; grandchildren, Collin David Ford and Cooper Wilson Ford; sister, Shirley Jean DeVries and her husband Peter DeVries.
