Heaven got another angel, William "Andy" Antone Davis passed away at his home on December 31, 2014. Andy was a very kind person; he would give you the shirt off his back if needed. He was a hard worker and loved to drive his tractors. He loved to build and compete in the annual destruction derby car events at the King City Rodeo Grounds. He was a collector of antique John Deer farm tractors and enjoyed helping out with the King City High School Farm Power Club. He also enjoyed going up to Washington to visit with his sons, and shooting off fireworks.
Andy was born on May 1, 1953 in Salinas to Lois (Duckworth) Davis and Bill Davis. Andy graduated from King City High School in 1972 where he was a member of the FFA and majored in agricultural and then went on to attend Hartnell College. Andy met and married Cindy Gillis, they were married for over 39 years where they had 4 children Robbie, Missy, Tim, and Randy. He worked for Meyer Tomatoes while in high school, and continued thereafter until he went to work for Mission Ranches where he worked as a tractor driver and then a foreman.
Andy is survived by his two sons, Tim and Randy Davis of Washington, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, In-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lois (Duckworth) and Bill Davis, his sisters Rosetta and Frances, and his wife Cindy (Gillis) Davis, son Robbie Davis, daughter Andrea "Missy" Davis.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE:
A Celebration of Andy's life will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2015 in the Pavilion of the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds, 625 Division St., King City, Calif. at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the King City Farm Power Club or a charity of your choice.
Cremation then at a future date Andy will be laid to rest at the Williams Duckworth Cemetery in Priest Valley, CA.
