Obituary

Virginia "Ginger" Meadows, a longtime resident of King City and Arroyo Seco passed away peacefully on February 19, 2015 at the age of 88 at her daughter's home. She was born February 16, 1927 in Safford Arizona.

Ginger had many accomplishments in her life. In her youth, she held the Monterey County Diving Championship for four years. She was a Newspaper Reporter for the Soledad Bee, a Registered Vocational Nurse, an Honorary Naval Recruiter as well as a USO Hostess. She was also a non-active Eastern Star.

Her hobbies included sewing, quilting and canning her own foods. She also loved diving, bowling and playing horseshoes.

Ginger is survived by her children, Virginia Crusius (Karl) of Yuma Ariz. , Tom Alburger (Kathy) of King City, Wayne Meadows of King City and Cheryl Urquidez (David) of Greenfield. Eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband George Meadows, daughter Georgette Meadows and her brother Michael Scott.

Ginger had an open heart as well as an open home as she was loved and loved everyone.
