Victor Suarez, 90, of King City, California, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23, 2014, with his family by his side.
He was born on December 20, 1923, to Abundio and Petra Suarez in Hacienda de San Miguelito Municipio de Romita Guanajuato, Mexico. In 1948 he met the love his life, Amada Rodriguez in Baja California. They moved to King City in 1953, where they established roots and raised their family. During his younger years, he worked as a farm laborer throughout the Salinas Valley. As he grew older, he was able to enjoy the little things in life such as gardening, whether it was his or his neighbors' yard and making homemade salsa. He enjoyed attending local rodeos with his children as well as attending sporting events that his grandchildren and great grandchildren participated in. He truly took pride in watching each of his children grow and raise families of their own.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Amada Suarez; his children, Victor (Beatriz), Graciela (Ismael), Leonicio (and family), Fernando (Lupe), Jesus, Steban and Angelica; his grandchildren, Margarita (Joe), Ismael II, Claudia (Paul), Israel, Imelda, JJ-Chepe (Laura), Jesse (Kris), Maritza (Christian), Jesus Jr., Vanessa, Joel, Anthony (Vanessa), Christopher (Irene), Laura (Jorge), Andrea, Michael (Jazmin) and Elijah; his great grandchildren, Jasmine, Anthony, Alexus, Andrew Andrade, Andrew Arias, Christian, Jacob, Adaleigh, Andrew S., Destiny, Angel, Moises, Mathius, Genesis, Faith, Emiliano, Rodrigo, Isis, Valerie and Jasiah.
SERVICE SCHEDULE:
A VISITATION is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Second St., King City
A FUNERAL MASS will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. same day.
Mr. Suarez will be laid to rest in King City District Cemetery following the funeral mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. John's Catholic Church.
