Victor Manuel Sordia Gonzalez, 62 of Greenfield, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014 at his home with his family at his side.
Victor was born August 6, 1951 in Cananea, Sonora, Mexico. He came to the United States at an early age in search of work and a better life. He settled in Greenfield and has worked in agriculture in excess of 27 years. He was employed as a Foreman for Seco Packing.
Victor enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He especially cherished his time spent with his youngest son, Sam. His enjoyed working with his co-workers, Mike Gonzalez, Martin Barajas and their boss Mike Hitchcock. The family thanks them for that. The family wishes to recognize and say a special thank you to his good friend Jesse Ramirez, who has been by his side thru this difficult time.
Victor was a loving, positive, caring and kind person. He always saw the good in people. He never let a bad situation get him down. He would always take the high road and try to turn something positive out of it. He is known for having a big heart. He himself said his heart was big enough for everyone. He never spoke a bad word of anyone. He never let his illness get the best of him.
Victor is survived by his wife, Paula Alatorre G.; children, Liberty Sordia, Jordan Sordia, Sam Sordia, Israel Sordia and Victoria Carolina Sordia.
SERVICE INFORMATION:
A Visitation is scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held, 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Family Christian Center, 103 9th Street, Greenfield, Calif.
