Tracy Wythe Nyswonger, 52 of King City passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. She died from a fall at home on May 14, 2016. Tracy was born July 13, 1963 in Binghamton, New York.

Tracy started out her life in Indiana. This is where she called home. She spent her adolescent and teen years in Saudi Arabia. She attended Choat Rosemary Hall Boarding School, in Connecticut 1978 -1981. She was a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington and was in the Army ROTC 1981 – 1985.

She moved to Southern California in 1988. She was in the Army Reserves and commissioned to Captain in 2004. She then went on to further her education in teaching. She eventually moved to Northern California in 2005. Living in Monterey she met Russ Nyswonger in 2007. They married December 7, 2008. They've lived in Pine Canyon, King City since 2009.

Tracy loved her dogs and taking them for walks on the Carmel Beach. She was a Special Ed teacher for Monterey County office of Education. She was in the National Honors Society and was a Gold Key recipient. She was a parishioner of the St. Angela Merici Church in Pacific Grove.

Tracy is survived by her husband, Russell Nyswonger of King City; step-children, Brokk Nyswonger of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Bryce Nyswonger and Hailee Nyswonger both of Kent, Washington; grandmother, Helen Wythe of Franklin, Indiana; brother, Michael Wythe of Arlington, Texas; sister, Shannon Morrison and niece Kristin Morrison both of Rosemount, Minnesota; nephew, Steven Wythe and great nephew Noah Wythe.

Private Family Services will be held at a later date. At this time the family request no flowers. Instead, please donate the charity of your choice or the local homeless shelter or the SPCA and dog shelters.
