Toni Ruth Alves, 65, entered into eternal peace on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital.

Toni was born on August 30, 1951 in Salinas, Calif. to Rose Borzini and Herbert Poare. She graduated from King City High School in 1969 and worked at the Sip N Snack in Greenfield. In November of 1977 she had a daughter, Roselyn Alves and a son, Joseph Alves, in September of 1981. After having children, Toni stayed home to raise her family and also worked part-time for Greenfield School District. She worked in the cafeteria for 20 years before retiring in 2004. Toni was a member of Greenfield Womens Club and Greenfield's Parent Teacher Organization where she made many lifelong friends. She enjoyed watching sports, going to the cabin in Arroyo Seco and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Toni had a loving and generous heart of Gold. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her distinguished mother, Rose Silveria and devoted brother, Donald Poare.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by; her father, Herbert Poare of Atkins, Arkansas; children, Roselyn (Matt) Anthony of King City and Joseph (Erin) Alves of Arroyo Grande; adoring grandchildren, Alyssa Mae Duckworh, Julia Rose Duckworth, John Hunter Duckworth, Allyssa Rose Anthony, Jackson Joseph Alves; loving cousin June Serrano of Monterey and her children, Adam (Heather) Serrano and Ashley (Giuseppe) Errico; and numerous other family and friends.

We are deeply saddened for the loss of our caring, loving and amazing mom. Words cannot express how much she meant to us. The world lost a magnificent person but heaven gained a radiant angel. There will be a private graveside service for immediate family at Soledad District Cemetery.
