After a life well lived Terry Anthony Rodman entered eternal rest on August 7, 2018 at the age of 75.  Born on August 8, 1942 in Roswell New Mexico.  His grandparents Tony and Phoebe Silva raised him in King City.  He attended grammar school in King City and then Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose Calif.  After high school he entered the CHP academy, because if you can't beat them you might as well join them.  After graduating the academy, his first assignment was in the San Francisco Bay Area, his next tour was at the Monterey office and his final assignment was at the King City office where he served his community until his retirement in 1996 after 32 years of dedicated service.  During that time he also enjoyed working part time at King City Auto Parts.

In 1967 he met his wife Glenda, they married in 1968 and they had three children Andrea, in 1972, Audra in 1975 and Bret in 1977.

In his younger days he enjoyed playing softball and co-ed ball with a great group of people in King City. He also played softball for the CHP softball team traveling to Las Vegas every year. He was a member of the Jaycees, The Lions Club, Silver Kings and Queens, King City Men's Golf Club, and a Charter Member of the SVF Heritage Foundation.  He was a devoted Little League coach and past President of the league.  One of his other loves was working with all of the kids, livestock and auction as a long-time volunteer with the Salinas Valley Fair.

He enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and traveling with his wife. He enjoyed month long vacations in Cayucos teaching his kids to boogie board and ride the waves.  He also enjoyed boating and skiing at Oak Shores with the family.  You can't forget his love for the San Francisco Giants and 49ers.   But let's not forget his greatest passion after retirement was GOLF.  He loved every minute he was able to spend on the course, even if he didn't play all that well that day.  He loved traveling with his friends to play a round or tournaments at many out of town courses.

All those who knew and loved him will miss Terry.  Although he could be tough, the one thing that could always be said was that he was fair.  No matter who you were Terry was always ready with a smile and hello.

Terry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anthony and Phoebe Silva; mother Kathleen Keith; aunt, Margaret Ramseier; sister, Barbara Hogan; in-laws, Clarence and Irma Sayler, and granddaughter Hope Smith.

Terry is survived by his devoted wife Glenda, children: Andrea (Travis) Pindell of Rockford Ohio, Audra (Dennis) Smith of Hamilton MT, Bret (Jen) Rodman of Atascadero CA, Lisa Rodman Howard of Moss Point MS; grandchildren: Tanner Rodman, Hunter Smith, Hadyn Rodman, Wyatt Pindell, Chelsea (Chris) Holser, Dakota Howard and great grandchild, Cooper Holser.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in Terry's honor to the California Highway Patrol Widows and Orphan's fund, 2030 V Street, Sacramento, CA 95818 or to Mission San Antonio or to the Knights of Columbus Chapter of St. John's Catholic Church.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

A Visitation is scheduled to be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel, 429 Bassett Street, King City.

A Recitation of the Rosary will be held a 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Eddington Funeral Services.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2018 at  St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St., King City.

Burial will follow in King City District Cemetery.
