On January 14, 2022 at 11:31pm Teresa Bailon Bermudez passed away suddenly at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.  She passed away peacefully 10 days short of the anniversary of her soulmate Enrique Bermudez Sr. passing.

She was born on October 5, 1938 to Manuel Baylon and Herlinda Hernandez de Baylon in Mazata, Jalisco.   She was 6 of 11 children, Ramona, Maria de Jesus, Guadalupe, Jose Guadalupe, Alicia, Eva, Manuel, Carlos, Aurelio, and Maria del Refugio.  She met her soulmate Enrique Bermudez in Mexicali where they married, later moving to Greenfield, CA where they raised their children. Upon moving to Greenfield, CA she acquired a job at Basic Foods in King City, CA where she retired after several years of service.

She loved organizing large family reunions annually alternating locations in her hometown of Mexicali and California.  Spending time with family was very important to her.  She made it an annual family tradition where all her children, spouses and grandchildren would gather to help make the BEST tamales. However, her favorite passing time was shopping with her daughters and granddaughters and putting puzzles together. Most recently what gave her joy and happiness was the extra love and affection she was receiving from her family especially the special sleepovers with her greatgrandchildren.

Teresa and Enrique Bermudez were members of the Greenfield Holy Trinity Church Guadalupana Society for 45 years where she was the assistant treasurer.

She is survived by her children: Enrique Bermudez Jr., Maria (Gerardo) Lopez, Carlos (Yolanda) Bermudez, Javier Bermudez, Laura Bermudez, and Richard Bermudez.

Grandchildren: Cynthia (Hugo) Mora, Franchesca (William) Akins II, Enrique (Laura) Bermudez III, Christina Bermudez, Michael (Stacey) Bermudez, Noe Lopez, AshleyMarie Bermudez, Matthew Lopez, Amanda Lopez, Victoria Sanchez, Brianna Bermudez, Natalie Sanchez, and Yvette Bermudez.

Great Grandchildren:  Mya Lopez, William Akins III, Leah Bermudez, Damian Lopez, Sarah Bermudez, Evan Mora, Aurelia Lopez, Emarie Mora, Ivy Flores, Noah Bermudez, Nathan Bermudez, Lucas Bermudez, Sebastian Rosales, and Gianna Flores.

Services will be as follows:

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 4pm-6pm and Rosary at 6pm at the Greenfield Holy Trinity Church.  Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 starting at 10 am followed by Burial at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
