Obituary

Sheila Snider, age 60, died after a brave and graceful war against Cancer, December 12, 2013 in Paso Robles, CA. Sheila was born in Santa Cruz, California, the daughter of R.H. Snider and Dorothy Willis Snider, sister of Scott Willis Snider and Sharon Drace. She was sister-in-law to Becky Snider, as well as a loving and involved aunt to twelve nieces and nephews, and the great aunt to three great-nephews and one great-niece.

Sheila was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She attended Soquel High School, Cabrillo College, Brigham Young University, and San Jose State University. She worked as a buyer for Leask's Department store. Her second career was a social worker at Mee Memorial Hospital in King City. While there, she served her community, helping those in need and striving to improve the lives of all she met, constantly thinking of others. Sheila maintained her sense of humor even in the darkest hours of her illness. Her time and generosity to others included gifts of pearls from her trips to Hawaii and other destinations, as well as quiet, reflective moments at the beaches she loved.

There will be a quiet family gathering to celebrate Sheila's life. To honor her memory, the family suggests a donation to a battered women's shelter, or your favorite charity.
