IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott E.
Jenkins
September 17, 1950 – May 2, 2017
On May 2, 2017 Mr. Scott Jenkins of King City, Calif. passed away due to complications from a long battle with cancer. He was born September 17, 1950 in Pasadena, Calif. to Eldon and Lois Jenkins.
They moved to King City in 1952. Scott grew up in King City choosing to never leave. He attended school in King City graduating from King City High School in 1968. In his childhood he played Little League and High School Baseball. In later years he enjoyed painting on canvas as well as all types of old logging saw's and saw blades. His biggest passion was restoring his 1955 Ford Thunderbird. His Dad was the original owner and it was the car Scott learned to drive in. His father passed it down to him and he later traded it to Mr. Paul Arness of King City for a Barracuda. Many years went by and Scott decided he would like to have the T-Bird back in the family. He approached Paul Arness and they made a deal and he had his old car back. He spent many years restoring, tearing it back down and restoring it again. He also had a love of stereo equipment and restoring stereo speakers. He could be found at garage sales looking for speakers and often found what he was looking for. What he loved the most was spending time with his family, especially his many grandchildren and his beloved dogs, Sasha, Sophie, and Muffin.
Scott worked for Green Rubber-Kennedy Ag as an outside salesman. He loved his job and loved getting out calling on his accounts and meeting new people. He was a dedicated employee and after he was diagnosed with cancer he could be found wearing his chemotherapy pump to work never letting it get him down.
He is survived by wife Patty and they would have celebrated their 44th anniversary this June 16th. He is also survived by his 3 children, Jon (Jill) Jenkins, Amy (Jim) Schwartzhoff, and Joy (Daniel) Potter and also Margaret Perez whom he thought of as a daughter. Grandchildren, Amelia and William Jenkins, Meagan and Zoe Schwartzhoff, Addison, Nolan, Trenton and Penelope Potter and Madison and Morgan Perez, and numerous nieces and nephews. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Jenkins; mother, Lois Jenkins, and sister, Charmayne Tomsich.
