Deceased: SAMUEL ANTHONY ALBANESE April 10, 1951 - June 16, 2011
The Family and Friends of Sam Albanese sadly annouce his sudden and untimely passing. He will be greatly missed. His easy smile and enthusiasm for life made friends for him wherever he traveled.
Born and raised in King City, Sam attended St. John's Catholic Grammar School and King City High School. He went on to Hartnell Community College and then the University of California, Los Angeles. Sam was a gifted athlete. He set and still holds many track records at KCHS and Hartnell. He received a full scholarship in track and field at UCLA and was slated to participate in the 1980 Olympic Games in the decathlon.
After UCLA, Sam remained in the Los Angeles area for many years. He studied acting. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and had some acting roles in television and movies. Sam loved the King City area and moved here to
promote health products through Sammylife, a company he founded.
Sam is survived by his mother, Nancy; his sisters, Gina and Marina and his brother, Vince among many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and niece.
A private family memorial was held in Morgan Hill, Ca. Sam's ashes will be spread on the waters of Monterey Bay by his loving mother, sisters and brother.
