IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sally Corrine
Sirak
July 26, 1938 – July 19, 2021
Sally "Potts" Sirak, a longtime resident of King City, CA, passed away on Monday July 19, 2021. Sally was living in Bakersfield, CA with her daughter, Lisa Bresette and family. Sally was recently diagnosed with leukemia. This disease took her very quickly.
Sally graduated from Salinas High School in 1956 and she attended Hartnell College and lots of parties.
She then made her home in King City and worked for her parents Norman and Ruth Potts, at the A&W. During that time, she met her soon to be husband, Bill Sirak. They made their first home in the front of the Sirak's garage, until they moved into an actual home. Sally was a stay-at-home mom, supporting her husband's vast career and business ventures by being his financial advisor and bookkeeper.
Sally enjoyed watching television. She loved Law and Order, Blue Bloods, the Chicago Med, Fire, and PD shows. Her dog, Brodie, was her constant companion. Sally enjoyed food, and whenever a new restaurant opened, she would ensure that she gave it a try, plus she was always checking out the freezer sections of grocery stores and buying anything new. Her favorite restaurant was the City Café, and then once it closed, she loved El Lugarcito. While living with Lisa's family, she would take to ordering food over the internet. Her latest kick was bacon and trying out different brands and flavors. Sally enjoyed gardening outdoors but had a black thumb for indoor plants. She had a wonderful sense of humor and laughed a lot. While working at the A&W she would play pranks of co-workers, and they would play pranks on her. She loved to travel. She and her husband enjoyed visiting baseball parks and watching the San Francisco Giants. Sally loved to read until her eye site finally prevented that. She loved to go to Disneyland. She didn't like the rides, but she would visit the different shopping and food areas.
Sally is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, daughter, Peggy DeWitt, and son Ted Sirak.
The family requests that donations be made St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
