Obituary

An adorable beautiful blonde peach fuzz hair and big blue eyed boy was born to the proud parents of Thomas Patterson and Susan Dodson. Ryan Thomas Patterson was brought into the world on January 7, 1979.

In 1996 Ryan gave his life to Christ at The Church of Christ in Missouri with his Meemaw, Bobbie Trammel by his side.

In 2003 Ryan moved from Fresno to Missouri.  While growing up in Missouri Ryan's favorite past times were hunting, fishing, having fish fry's with his best friends Chad & Brad Turner. During the summer Ryan would often stay with his Meemaw and Sam in Fresno. Ryan's Uncle John Lawson, Aunt Sharon & cousin Johnathan would travel all over the United States to race Sprint cars. With Sam, Meemaw and Ryan driving the Sprint Car hauler. Sprint Car's was one of Ryan's passions and fondest memories growing up, especially attending "The Chili Bowl" held in Oklahoma.

One of Ryan's accomplishments was graduating from Marshfield High School in 1997.  While attending Marshfield High Ryan was enrolled in Vocational Welding earning his Welding Certificate while attending high school.  What an accomplishment!  After graduation Ryan returned to Fresno where he was employed as a Certified Welder for Lawson Rock & Oil.

In 2003 Ryan graduated from The Academy for the Department of Correction as a Correctional Officer. He was assigned to Correctional Training Facility (CTF).  He spent his entire 18 year career serving and protecting as a Correctional Officer at CTF.  Ryan made numerous friends while employed for the Department.  Those who know Ryan would agree he had quite the sense of humor.  You would also know his passion was cooking and BBQing. Ryan was and will always be a Pit Master BBQ'r. The BEST ribs, tri-tip and pulled pork you will ever eat!

On June 15, 2005 Ryan was blessed with his own son, Morgan Thomas Patterson. During Ryan's life he taught Morgan how to ride a bike, ride quads and raise a pig through 4-H. Ryan loved his son with all his heart!

On February 2, 2017 he married Regina Banuelos and made her, Regina Patterson.  Together they were "Bar to Bar" which translates into "handle bar to handle bar" riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles with someone you love and trust.  Ryan and Gina spent fun times in Lake Tahoe, playing in the snow. During the summer every other weekend on their boat at Lake Nacimiento or out riding their Harley's.  Family BBQ's in Fresno at Meemaw's with his mom, Susan, Stephanie, Mike, Conner, Megan, Bear, Ashley, Shila, Aunt Shelly, Jonathan, Ashley, Sydney (Squish), Patrick, Michael, Veronica, and Preston.

Ryan went home to heaven on January 22, 2021, much too early at his age of 42. Waiting to greet Ryan with open arms were his Meemaw, Aunt "Munna" Sharon Lawson and his mother-in-law Georgia Banuelos.

Ryan is LOVED and adored by his family very much and will be forever missed.  He is survived by his wife, Regina Patterson of Soledad; son, Morgan Patterson of Arizona; Tom Patterson (father), Susan Dodson (mother); siblings, Megan Dodson (sister), Mackenzie Roberts (sister) and Logan Roberts (brother) all of Fresno; sister, Stephanie Brogdon of Madera; Shelly Bergersen (Aunt); cousins, Jonathan Lawson, Patrick & Michael Warnshuis, Vance "Bear" Bergersen; and nephew, Conner "The Con Man" Brogdon.
