Roger Elzey, 78, of King City passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, at his home. Born on June 19, 1946, in King City, Roger spent his life deeply rooted in the community he loved. Roger proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged after his service. Because of this service, Roger is recognized as a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) organization. Following his military career, he dedicated 36 years to PG&E, where he worked as a General Foreman. His commitment and leadership left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the company alike.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Roger was a devoted family man. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Janice; his son, Jody; and his granddaughter, Riley. Roger and Janice were happily married for 58 years, married on June 25, 1966. He was the proudest dad to Jody, and papa to Riley. Roger cherished every moment spent with them and found great joy in their company.

In his leisure time, Roger enjoyed making jerky, camping, boating, fishing, and sharing laughter with family. Known for his humor and kindness, he had an extraordinary ability to lift the spirits of everyone around him. His warm presence and infectious laughter made every gathering brighter.

A Funeral Service to honor Roger's life will be held on May 9, 2025, at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel, located at 429 Bassett Street in King City, California. Services will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at King City Cemetery.

Roger Elzey's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort and peace to those who mourn his passing.
