Obituary

Rick Camarillo passed away on September 28, 2015. He was born in Santa Ana, California on September 10, 1944 and was the eldest son of O.E. and Juanita Camarillo.

Rick grew up in King City and graduated from King City High School in 1964. He then went on to Hartnell College.

In July 1965 he enlisted in the United States Air force and was honorably discharged in Nov. 1970.

Upon returning from military service Rick helped the family by working in the family labor camp business and driving truck for O.E. Camarillo Trucking for many years. He soon started his own trucking business. Rick's career as a truck driver lasted 40 years. It was a profession he loved but was happy to retire from.

Rick's passion was target shooting. He competed in Lockwood and the La Gloria Steele Challenge in Gonzales.

He enjoyed going to Little League, softball games and gymkhanas to watch his grandchildren compete. They were a great deal of joy and entertainment for him.

Rick is survived by his wife, Rosie of 44 years; daughter, Trina (Jim) Hearne of King City; son, Caine (Yolanda) Camarillo of Carmel Valley; granddaughters, Ivy and Amity Hearne; grandsons, Wiley Hearne, Adam and Evan Camarillo.

He is also survived by his brother, Victor (Carmen) Camarillo of Tracy; his two sisters, Diane Camarillo of Placentia, Judy (Larry) Rogers of Carson City; and his mother, Juanita Camarillo of King City. His father preceded him in death in 1980.

A Recitation of the Rosary was held, 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 1, 2015. A Funeral Mass with Military Honors was celebrated, 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 2, 2015.

Family and friends gathered at McCune Hall following the mass to Celebrate Rick's life.

All services were held at St. John's Catholic Church in King City.
