Rhonda Jean Emberson Costa, 57, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015, in Victorville, CA, due to complications from a long illness.

Rhonda was born June l4,1957, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital and attended Salinas schools. She was the eldest of five daughters of Kenneth J. Emberson and Bettie J. Patterson Emberson.

Rhonda is survived by many who loved her, including her husband, Jonathan Costa, two daughters, Heidi Vibbard Kalina of Victorville, and Jamie Satterfield Klein (Larry), of Massachusetts, and one son, James R. Satterfield III, of Arizona, Nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Mother, Bettie Patterson Emberson, of King City, sisters, Roberta Emberson of Santa Cruz, Alicia Emberson Cask (Doug), of Salinas, Wendy Emberson Scott of Riverside, and Myla Emberson of Santa Cruz. Aunts, Charlene Patterson Day, of Salinas, Carldene Patterson Rollman, of Arkansas, Rita Nunes Patterson, of Arroyo Seco, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth J. Emberson.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life and Memorial Picnic was held in Victorville by her Family and Friends. Per Rhonda's wishes her ashes will be placed with her father's and both will be placed in the Gonzales Cemetery with her mother at a later date.
