Rebecca A. Cortez, 74 of King City passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at her home with her family by her side.  She was born, September 17, 1947 in Raymondville, Texas.

When she was young she worked in the fields. For most of her life she was a homemaker.  She enjoyed knitting and dancing.  She volunteered for Loaves and Fishes, City Café and the Food Bank.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Rosendo Cortez; her children, Raquel Sandoval, Rodrigo Cortez, Roberto Cortez and Regina Corral; 8 grandchildren, Eliyza Lopez, Francisco Sandoval, Neida Mclean, Valeria Sandoval, Xavier Cortez, Victoria Guzman, Esai Cortez, Leandro Corral; great grandchildren, Bryan Sandoval, Giovanni Sandoval, Sebastian Lopez, Elias; brothers and sisters, Joe Alvarado, Oscar Alvarado, Aurora Gonzalez, Blanca Alvarado, Rosie Gutierrez, Ofilia Lopez, Ruben Alvarado and Ricardo Alvarado.

A Visitation will be held on Tues., June 14, 2022 from 4pm to 6pm, followed by a 6pm Rosary service at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St. in King City. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at St. John's Catholic Church.
