Rafael "Ruffles" Perez was born in Salinas on November 22, 1974. He took his last breath on July 7, 2020 in King City where he resided most of his life.

His favorite past times were attending concerts, gambling, nights out with friends, having a good time and of course watching his Kansas City Chiefs play!

Anyone who ever had the chance to meet Ruffles let alone be a part of his amazing life, knows that he had one of the biggest hearts. He was always true to who he was and his beliefs were always about peace and love for one another. He was a lover, not a fighter. If you ever heard him speak he knew who he was and what he believed in. Ruffles was always the life of the party and enjoyed music beyond just its words.

Ruffles is survived by his children, Natalie Perez, Joshua Perez, Kevin Perez, Bethanie Perez; mother, Paula Rios; grandchild, Dahlilah Perez; siblings, Ernesto Asebedo, Javier Asebedo, Reynaldo Asebedo, Lydia Gutierrez and Benita Asebedo.

A Visitation will be held at St. John's Catholic church from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2020 followed by a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at St. John's Catholic Church.  Burial will follow immediately at King City Cemetery.
