Obituary

Philip Garcia, 84 of King City passed away Monday, December 18, 2012 at his home with his family at his side.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

A FUNERAL MASS was held, 10am, Friday, December 21, 2012 at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third Street, King City, Calif.

Born in Oxnard Calif. Sept. 25, 1928, he came to King City at the age of 7. He attended and graduated from King City High School in 1947.

Philip served in the US Army 1951 – 1952 and returned to King City in 1953. He soon met Annie Garner and they married in 1956. They have called King City their home ever since.

Philip worked as a Pressman for Casey Newspapers and retired after 38 years. He enjoyed family gatherings, taking trips to the casinos, traveling, watching football, baseball, playing golf and working in the yard. He was an avid SF 49er and SF Giants fan. He was a member of King City VFW Post 6747, Silver King s and Queens and St. John's Knights of Columbus.

Philip is survived by wife, Annie Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jenny Ramirez; brothers, Joseph Garcia and Albert Garcia.
