Oscar Antonio Moreno Sr. died from natural causes on Tuesday October 20, 2015. He was 87 years old.
Oscar was born on June 8, 1928 in Laredo Texas to Felipe and Andrea Moreno. He was married to Alicia B. Moreno for 47 years.
He was raised in Laredo Texas. He and his young bride moved to St Paul Minnesota after the birth of their first child. This is where his four other children were born. He pursued a career working for Pacific Railroad and Armor Meat Company.
Oscar and his family relocated to California in the early 1960's, where he moved to King City and planted his roots deep. He worked primarily for Meyers Tomato and Almaden Vineyards.
In his spare time Oscar developed his passion for music. He self-taught himself to play various instruments, including the guitar and his favorite instrument the accordion. He wrote and sang his own music, and had his own band.
Oscar is survived by his five children. Diana M. Rodriguez (San Lucas Ca.), Noelia Lyons (Paso Robles Ca.), Oscar Antonio Moreno Jr. (Fairbanks Alaska), Edna Pelkey (Salinas Ca.) And Johnny Joe Moreno (San Diego Ca.). He leaves behind seventeen grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. A specially beloved niece Estella Ramirez (San Lucas, Ca), and numerous nieces and nephews, all who he loved very much. He is also survived by his sister Oralia Gallegos from Laredo Texas.

A RECITATION OF THE ROSARY will be at 7pm, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church
A FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated 10am, Friday, October 30, 2015 at St. John's Cathoic Church
