Oscar Calderon Hernandez, 88 of Greenfield passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022.  He was born May 24, 1933.

He liked to water his plants, see the daily news on television and drink his morning coffee.  Oscar was very proud of having his children graduate from high school and higher education.  He was proud of having worked for Basic American Foods and Cal Company.

He was a member of Basic Vegetable Products former workers and the Bracero Program.

Oscar was preceded in death by his bride of 64 years just 14 months ago and his son Roberto Hernandez.

He is survived by his children, Angel, Jose Luis, Oscar Alfonso, Valentina and Nora.

A Visitation will be held from 4pm to 6pm, on Friday, April 1, 2022 followed by a 6pm Rosary at Eddington Funeral Chapel, 429 Bassett St. in King City.

A Funeral Mass will be held 2pm, Saturday, April 2, 2022 at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St., King City.  Burial will follow in the King City Cemetery.
