Obituary

Noue Steven Pena, 65 originally from Oxnard, Calif passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 south of King City.  He was born May 26, 1951 in Oxnard, California to Bud and Betty Pena.

While his first name was Noue, named after his father, everyone called him Steve.  He grew up in Camarillo, Calif.  He was a 1969 graduate of Adolfo Camarillo High School.  He was a talented athlete who played football, basketball, baseball and wrestling.

After high school, Steve helped his father run a boarding and rental stable called, Camarillo Stables in Camarillo, Calif.  Together they trained horses, roped and showed horses.  Steve's favorite past-times was riding horses and his love for his dogs.

Before his parent's passing they lived on the Peasley Ranch until it was sold.  It was then that Steve's ranch life came to an end.  He stayed in the So. Mo. Co. Area, going from here to there living wherever he could because of his love for the outdoors.  He enjoyed meeting people and drinking coffee at local restaurants.  He was a simple and kind man, with a heart of gold.  Often he did without and gave what he didn't have to help others.  He loved his family and cherished the times he got together with them.

Steve was a member of Silver Kings and Queens and always looked forward to going to the monthly dinner meetings.  It was a place to interact with people and enjoy a hot meal.

Steve is survived by his sisters, Patty Foster and Jody Fuller; nieces and nephews, Elise, Erik, Evan Emily, Timmy, Joe and Jake.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Private family services will be held.
