Michael Joseph Oliveira, 75 of King City passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026, in Salinas, Calif. He was born in Salinas on May 14, 1951.

In his youth Mike achieved the level of Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts of America. He attended St. John’s Catholic school and was a graduate of King City High School. He continued his education and graduated from San Jose State University. He enjoyed sketching and painting. He was a skilled bridge card player and enjoyed playing chess and cribbage with close friends.

Mike owned and operated a landscaping business in Hollister and King City for several years. He was also a member of the Hollister and King City Rotary clubs.

Mike is survived by his stepdaughter, Lisa Naranjo and her husband Josh of San Leandro, Calif.; brothers, Jeffery, and Steven Oliveira; and two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Oliveira, mother and father, Lola Oliveira and Albert Oliveira.

FUNERAL SERVICES:

A Memorial Mass will be held, 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 6, 2026, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St. in King City.

A Celebration of Life will follow 12:00 p.m., Friday November 6, 2026, at the Oliveira Home Ranch in San Ardo.
