Marilyn Beth Hicks, 83 of King City passed away, Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Mee Memorial Hospital in King City.
Marilyn was born in Deckers, Colorado July 18, 1928 where she attended grade school. Together with her family she traveled throughout Oregon, Idaho and Washington while her parents worked as agriculture laborers in the fruit harvest seasons. The family finally settled in King City, Calif. where she met Don Hicks and they eventually married. Together they had four children.
Marilyn worked as a cook at King City High School for twenty one years retiring in 1993. She enjoyed working with all the students throughout those years. She enjoyed gardening, camping, hunting, fishing, going on trips to Colorado and four wheel driving outings with her late husband Don. They were past members of the Fresno 4WD Club. She cherished her time spent with family especially those times with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Linda and Jerry Duclon of Elizabeth, Colo.; two sons, David and Alberta Hicks and James Hicks of King City, Calif.; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Don Hicks, May of 2011; daughter, Mary Lou Blair; brothers, Norman King , Doug King , Sr. and Roland King.
