Obituary
Maria "Chuy" Mendez passed away on March 17, 2015 in San Jose, California due to complications of cancer. She was 49.
Chuy was born on March 11, 1966 in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico to parents, Manuel and Rosario Mendez. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grand-children and family as well as her beloved Chihuahua "Bebe". In her spare time, she collected porcelain clowns, enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing dominos and Jenga.
Chuy is survived by her daughters, Joanna Ortiz and Alyssa Mendez; sons, Alfonso Morales and Isaac Mendez; her grandchildren, Alexis Ortiz, Johnny Ortiz and Noah Spece; her brother, Antonio "Tony" Mendez and sister, Norma Mendez. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosario Mendez and sister, Artemisa Pacheco.
SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS:
A Memorial will take place at 5:00 p.m., on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Eddington Funeral Services, 333 E. San Antonio Drive, King City.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St., King City followed by burial at the King City Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Chuy's life.
