Maria Esther Barajas, 84 of King City passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.  She was born August 5, 1940 in Ayotlan, Jalisco, Mexico.

Maria and her husband, Juan Ramon Barajas have lived in Monterey County for over 60 years.  Maria retired after 26+ years of employment as a maintenance supervisor with the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds.  She truly loved her work.  Maria will forever be remembered as a loving and caring person, always helping those in need.  She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Maria is survived by her husband of 58 years, Juan Ramon Barajas; her daughter, Leonor Cisneros; sons, Ramon Barajas, Francisco Barajas, and Jesse Barajas; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 6 brothers; and 3 sisters.

SERVICE INFORMATION:

A Visitation will be held starting at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Eddington Funeral Chapel with a Rosary Service starting at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third Street in King City. Burial will follow in the King City Cemetery.
