Manuela Arechiga Tovar, 47 of Greenfield passed away at her home on Saturday, October 27, 2012.
Manuela was born June 25, 1965 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. She came to the United States at the age of 10 and resided in Fresno, California until she married. She worked in agriculture and together with her husband she moved to Huron, Calif. for a short time. She soon moved to Soledad, Calif. and eventually settled in Greenfield, Calif.
She loved to cook. Her kids were her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is described as having a heart like a hotel; you can always find a room there. She was always full of life and willing to lend a helping hand.
Manuela is survived by her husband, Ruperto Gonzalez; children, Ignacio Tovar, Edelmiro Espinoza, Yasohara Espinoza, Ruperto Gonzalez, Jr. and Jose Gonzalez; sister, Santos Tovar; brothers, Martin Tovar and Mauricio Tovar; parents, Ignacio and Bertha Tovar.
A VISITATION was held, 6pm – 7pm, Friday, November 2, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 803 Elm Ave., Greenfield, Calif. A ROSARY Service was held, 7pm, Friday, November 2, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. A FUNERAL MASS was held, 9am, Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
