Manuel C. Rosales, 96 of King City passed away, Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Mee Memorial Hospital. He was born, June 26, 1921 in Los Nietos, California.
He worked in labor for 31 years. He married the love of his life, Maria Rosales on August 31, 1948. They were married for 65 years. He enjoyed making knots for ropes and also creating knives. He loved working downtown and visiting family every day. His passion was horses. They reminded him of his youth. As the years passed he became a member of the second floor long-term unit at Mee Memorial Hospital. There he enjoyed daily activity functions. He will always be remembered for always talking about his past; the stories of his life and childhood memories. He also enjoyed attending family parties and dancing and listening to music.
He was a member of the local Teamsters Union in Salinas. He was also a member of the UFW (United Farm Workers).
Manuel is survived by his daughters, Eloisa Garcia (Margarito), Celia Rosales, Juana Martinez (Alvino), Esther Miranda (Napoleon), Josefina Rosales, Laura Rosales, Brenda Argomaniz (Ed); sons, Refugio Rosales (Susie), Mario Rosales; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Rosales (2013); his sons Jose A. Rosales (1999) and Manuel Rosales (2016); grandchild, Cristian Rosales (2017).
