Madeline Dolores Giacomazzi Benadom passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the age of 104 in Salinas, California.

Madeline was born in Mogheno, Switzerland on April 26, 1918 to Adele Marie Rianda and Silverio Phillips Giacomazzi. Her family moved to the United States when she was two years old and settled in Greenfield, California on her family's dairy farm where Madeline grew up with her seven siblings. Madeline spent her childhood milking cows and helping on the farm as well as working at the apricot orchards.

She attended Greenfield Elementary School and graduated from King City High School where she met the love of her life Bernerd "Tiny" Benadom. Madeline and Tiny were married on June 5, 1938 and were married for 69 years before his passing in May 2007. Madeline and Tiny raised their three children, Lyn, Jim and Bud, in the Bay Area and Southern California before moving back to the Monterey County area.

She worked with Tiny at Tiny Benadom's Lockers, the butcher shop they owned on North Vanderhurst Avenue in King City for over a decade. Madeline enjoyed interacting and visiting with the customers while she cut and wrapped the meat.

Madeline was a devout Catholic and attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in King City. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, playing cards, and playing the piano; but mostly Madeline enjoyed spending time visiting her loved ones. Madeline never missed the opportunity to share her baked goods or crocheted slippers with family and friends.

Madeline is survived by her daughter, Lyn Pett (Jim), sons Jim and Buddy (Bonnie); grandchildren Julianne (Ken), Melanie, Lisa (Kreg), Kelly (Larry), Shawn, Shane (Kelly); Amy (Matt) Brian (Kyle), Mark (Deanna) and Melissa (Dave); great grandchildren J.T (Alexandria), Aleck (Kiley), Carson (Jordan), Cameron, Kyler, Ainsley, Aubrey, Seth, Devyn, Derrick, Raelynn, Grace, Parker, Mason, Cheyenne (Danny), Chase, Brodie, Mallory, and Morgan; and great-great grandchildren Maci, Tinley, Isla, Grayson, Miller and Cutter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and friends who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adele and Silverio; her husband Tiny Benadom; her siblings Leo, Richard, Fred, Rose, Inez, Alice, and Elaine; and her grandson-in-law, Kenny Burton.

Madeline's beautiful smile and heart-warming laughter will truly be missed.
