Lupe passed away during the evening of Thursday, April 7 th in San Francisco, California ending a 12 year battle with Dementia.
Born in 1919 in Pedricena, Durango, Mexico. She was the 3 rd oldest of nine children. Her parents (Petra and Francisco) and two older siblings (Hermelinda and Manuel) moved from Mexico to San Lucas, CA in Monterey County.
While living in King City, Lupe worked at Lynn's Department Store. When she moved to San Francisco, she worked at Grayson's/Granson's (woman's clothing store).
Lupe was a big San Francisco Giants and 49er's fan. She loved to work cross word and word search puzzles. She also enjoyed working in her garden. She was also a Eucharistic Minister at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Lupe is survived by her sister (Rosie); children (Frank, Tom, John and Ann); grandchildren (Cathy, Vicky/Billy Jr., Franco/Tammy, Kelly, Tina, Bobby, Gregorio/Tania, Reyna/Billy S., Patrick and Casandra); great grand children (Gabby/Jackie, Billy III/Javier, Cara/Josh, Francesca/Rudy, Aubrey, Ariana, Michelle,
Alexia/James, Angelina, Santiago, Donato, Maricela/Enrique, Noah and Gabriel); great great grand children (Kalea, Dominic, Amina, Lucas, Rocco, Angelo and Giovanni). Plus many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Lupe was predeceased by her parents (Petra and Francisco), her spouse (Trinidad), her siblings (Hermelinda, Manuel, Marie, Ruth, Bea, Rigo and Charlie), in laws, nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be said at 10 am, followed by a Celebration Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 20 th at St. John's Catholic Church located at 504 N. 3 rd St., King City, CA.
Burial will follow at the King City Cemetery located at 1010 Broadway St.
A small luncheon will be served at St John's Church Hall following the burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,
Alzheimer Research or a charity of your choice.
