Lois Elaine (McPhail) Martinez, 80 of King City passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. She was born August 23, 1933 in King City.
Lois lived in Imlay, Nevada until age 11, returning to King City and lived on a ranch on Jolon Road. She graduated from King City High School. She worked as a telephone operator in King City. Most of her career was spent working as a care provider in a nursing home, which gave her much pleasure. She was married to Richard (Amie) Martinez and together they had two daughters, Laurie and Leslie. She enjoyed writing stories and truly loved caring for others. She was a 60 year member of Royal Neighbors of America.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Laurie Martinez Elzey of Arizona; grandsons, Jacob Buniger of Nevada and Jeremy King of Colorado; granddaughters, Kasey King and Kassidy King of Arizona and Jill King-Reiner of Colorado ; great grandsons, Jesse Reiner and Danny King and great granddaughter Tory King; brother Malcolm and wife Ardell McPhail of Washington and numerous nieces and nephews. Lois is preceded in death by her daughter, Leslie.
