On Tuesday June 15 th , 2021 Mrs. Lilia G. De Saucedo passed away while in her home in King City, Ca.
Doña Lili was born August 12 th , 1949 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua Mexico. Her favorite pastime was spending quality time with her family, especially her grandkids. She loved taking trips with the family. Although she and her now late husband Gonzalo did not really have a need for a large SUV, Doña Lili purchased a large SUV so she could take her family to Disneyland, San Antonio Lake, the beach, the aquarium, or her favorite restaurant. Doña Lili loved to watch Disney movies with her grandkids. Doña Lili loved music and mariachi was her passion, if there was a mariachi and Doña Lili was there, she was going to sing!
Doña Lili was an active member of the choir at St. John's Catholic Church singing at every Sunday mass for over 35 years. Doña Lili celebrated several religious events within our community, including, singing at weddings, first communions, catechism classes, quinceñeras, funerals, anniversaries and any church event she was invited to. On her free time, Doña Lili liked to help the community and participated in community events and organizations such as, Loaves and Fishes, Guadalupana society events, and religious retreats at San Pablo de Colores in Watsonville California. Once a month for over 35 years, Doña Lili would visit the Skilled Nursing Facility of the Mee Memorial Hospital and sang for all the older members of our community living there. Who can forget her famous enchiladas she would make for the church fund raisers every year!
Doña Lili was married to Alberto Soto Jr. on June 28 th , 1969 through 1984. She later remarried Gonzalo on February 13 th , 1999 through 2020.
Doña Lili is survived by her children, Albert Soto the 3 rd. his children, Clarissa, Adrian, Andres and Adriel; Elizabeth S. Hernandez (Leonel), Alejandro, Krystian, Elizabeth; David Soto (Marisa), Michael; and Lilia S. Perez (Erick), Gema; Great Grandchild, Myla.
A Visitation will be held from 5 – 6pm followed by a 6pm Rosary Service on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. All services will be held at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St. in King City. Burial will follow in the King City Cemetery.
