Obituary

Lila May Libby Roth was born on April 22,1923 to Helen and Frank Libby. She grew up in Cienega outside of Hollister, California. She graduated from San Benito High School in 1941. She went to San Jose State and got a provisional teaching credential in 1944. She finished her degree in 1961. She taught school in Lockwood where she met and married (1949) Henry Roth.

Lila was very involved with 4-H, served years on San Antonio and King City High School boards, was a founding member of San Antonio Valley Historical Association and President of San Antonio Community Betterment Association to name a few. She was a world traveler. Lila lead a long, enriched life. She passed away surrounded by family on December 4th, 2013. She was deeply loved and will be sincerely missed.

Lila is survived by eight children, twenty-one grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Ron (Marsha) Roth, Mandy (Justin) Linquist and Emery and JR Roth. Beverly Kovacs, Amy Sweet, Katy Kovacs, Dustin, Ashley and Libby, and LindaKay Kovacs. Frank (Betsy) Roth, Ryan, Grady and Nathan Roth. Marty Schwarm, Jacob and Adam. Joe (Paula) Roth, Simon, Sydney and Liam. Linda (Larry) Ravera, Peter and Kyle. Ed (Kim) Roth, Fallon, Logan and Camryn. Dee Dee (Jeff) Avila, Clay, Crystal and Alicia.

Funeral services were held December 8th. The family asks that any donations be sent to the San Antonio Community Betterments Association, Lockwood 4-H Scholarship Fund, NACITONE Regional & Interpretive Center and Museum, or the San Antonio Valley Historical Association.
