On January 4, 2016, Krystal Joy Meyer passed away in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was born on October 18, 1990, in Monterey, California. A resident of King City, Krystal was a vibrant girl and highly involved in the Community.
Krystal enjoyed spending time with her family on many vacations to Mexico and Lake Tahoe. She was an active athlete and participated in cheerleading, softball and dance as a child. She joined King City Blue Ribbon 4-H and exhibited hogs at the Salinas Valley Fair for 9 years. Krystal was hardworking and competitive both in the show ring and in the gym. She was on the basketball, volleyball, and swim teams at King City High School. Krystal was a strong teammate and a fiercely loyal friend.
Her vibrant personality and laughter are remembered by all. She was passionate about fashion and exercise. A Mustang for life, Krystal received her degree in Agricultural Business from Cal Poly, San Luis
Obispo. In her adult years she became reconnected with her Christian faith and cherished her time mentoring orphans on a mission trip to Mexico.
She is survived by her parents, Craig and Maggie Meyer; her brother, Robert and his wife Whitney;Grandfather, Bob Meyer; grandmother, Lidia Garcia and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
SERVICE INFORMATION:
Services will be held at Comunidad Cristiana de Fe, 1200 Broadway, King City on Saturday, January 9th at 10:00am. Graveside services to follow at King City Cemetery and a reception at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds Orradre Building.
