Kent Berney Morgan passed away of a sudden heart attack on May 9, 2016, at his home in Fullerton, California, at the age of 61.

Kent was a United States Air Force veteran, having served in the mid-1970's at Edwards and March Air Force Bases. He earned a degree in Economics at California State Polytechnic University at Pomona in 1978, and subsequently worked in warehousing for 20 years. Passionate about reading, and committed to sharing that passion, Kent also worked as a part-time tutor in literacy and math, in which he was quite proficient.

Kent was a talented magician, a member of the Society of American Magicians - Southern California Assembly. He performed for many groups over the years, making people happy with his amazing feats of magic.

He was a fervent Christian and an active member of The Rock, a church in Anaheim. A strong supporter and member of Pageant of the Masters, Newport Beach, he attended every year and wept and laughed with joy at the performances. He also cheered on the Dodgers with absolute zest, rarely missing an opening day. But what he was most committed to was his participation in 12-Step programs. His dedication to his own sobriety and to helping others achieve the same was deep and abiding. He made a difference. He will be missed by so many.

Kent is survived by his sister Donelle Morgan and his niece Tess DiNapoli, his brother Kevin and sister-in-law Cheryl and nephew Skylar Morgan, and cousin Rebecca White, all of the Bay Area. He was the son of Dale and Marilee Morgan (deceased) of Whittier, California. Finally, he leaves behind his sponsor Jeff W. who saved and changed his life many times over.

A memorial service will be held on July 9, 2016, at 1:30 P.M. at the East Whittier United Methodist Church, 10005 Cole Road, Whittier.
