IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kay Marie
Jones
January 30, 1951 – February 18, 2021
https://www.tributeslides.com/tributes/show/YKZ49T8T6MMXHHHQ?e=1 On February 18, 2021, beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Bamma), great-grandmother, and sister, Kay Marie Jones, left us to be with her father, Ray Lavelle, her mother, Hazel Tully, and stepfather, Robert Tully, along with many other family members.
Kay was born on January 30, 1951 in King City where she spent 70 wonderful years surrounded by family and friends. Born and raised in King City, Kay attended St. John's Catholic school from kindergarten to eighth grade, where she competed in roller-skating competitions. She later graduated from King City High School in 1969 where she was head cheerleader her Senior year. Go Mustangs!
She met the love of her life, Ron Jones, in 1969 and they celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary on January 2, 2021. Together, they found a passion for attending and participating in car shows all over California, where they won many awards for their 1964 GTO and 1967 Chevelle.
Kay was known for her contagious smile and her big hugs. She always welcomed you with open arms and anyone who met her loved her. She touched so many lives—from her own friends, to her daughters' friends, to even her grandchildren's friends.
Kay's whole life was built around her love for her husband, Ron Jones; daughters, Shauna and Jennifer Jones; her grandchildren, Larissa, Isaac, and Nathaniel Perez, whom she loved unconditionally. She was blessed to have a great-grandson, Zayden Alvarez, born to Larissa and Sergio Alvarez. He was the joy of her life.
Kay is also survived by her brothers: Bill LaVelle and wife, Elizabeth; Ronnie LaVelle and wife, Patti Ann; and numerous nieces and nephews who meant the world to her.
Her door was always open, and her love, unconditional.
The family will gather on Thursday from 4pm to 7pm at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel to Celebrate Kay's Life.
