Born July 17, 1974 Kade's life ended August 4, 2011.
The only son of Jack & Paula Decker, Kade loved and lived life to its fullest extent. His outgoing personality, sense of humor, and broad ever present smile was second to none. To Kade, one was only a stranger until a firm hand shake or a gentle hug was shared.
King City was Kade's home. Born and raised in our town, he attended the local schools graduating from KCHS in 1992. Leaving home for only a couple of years to attend college and later work for a sports manufacturer in Paso Robles, Kade soon returned to his hometown to work with his father, Jack, in the family business. Following in his father's footsteps he was not only an accomplished welder, but also inherited Jack's passion for classic cars. This love of the classics soon led to many a late hour in the family garage with Jack. Together, they brought a bright red 1957 back to pristine beauty. That was the beginning of what would become a true love of craftsmanship and camaraderie in the classics community. There are numerous hot rods in the valley that will carry a small bit of Kade with them always.
Kade's friends were many. They abound from the agricultural community that he worked hard to support and also from the "hot rodders", young and old alike. Many a weekend morning the rumble of thousands of horse power could be heard at the family home as friends from all over the SoCo area gathered to a make a trek to a car show or maybe just a cruise for the day to share life experiences. The passion for classics was just a little ahead of his love of NASCAR. One who is not savvy to the sport soon knew their match had been met when they got into a discussion about who's who with the drivers of the super speedways with Kade.
Toss in some good country music, and that was Kade.
His love for cars and music could only be beat by his love for his daughter, Kadey Louise (Bug). She was brought into our world by Kade and Sophie on January 23, 2002. Inseparable, they were often seen around town with their big black dog, Jiggy. Kadey was Kade's everything.
Kade leaves behind his mom and dad, Jack & Paula Decker, daughter Kadey and her mother Sophie, grandmother Mildred Conatser, uncles Danny (Georgette), Larry (Janice), and Brent Conatser, grandmother Marcella LePhew, aunts Carolyn Mae Lipscomb, Ruth Almira Krauss, Gloria Ann Howe, cousins Chris, Carri, Michael, Bryan, Megan, Darcy, Jon, Jerry, Daniel, Brian, Holly, Laura, Amy, Frank, numerous second cousins and a host of close friends.
Pall Bearers for services on Wednesday August 10, 2011 will be cousins Bryan Conatser, Chris Conatser, Jon Conatser and Michael Conatser, and close friends Cy Quinn, Jason LaPointe, Steve Dunn and Dean King.
