Justina Ortega Sainz, 74 of Greenfield passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at her home. Justina was born July 24, 1941 in Cocula, Jalisco, Mexico.
Justina first started dating her future husband, Hilario Sainz when their families attended a gathering back home in Camajapa. Justina was living in Guadalajara and Hilario was living in the United States. They dated for a week and Hilario asked her to marry him. They soon moved to the United States.
Justina and Hilario were married for thirty-three (33) years. They have three children together and three grandchildren. They both worked together as laborers in the grape fields for many years. Together they shared a love of gardening in their backyard and spending time with family and friends.
Justina was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was a very loving, caring mother and wife. She was loved by many. She was small and considered petite yet she had a strong personality. She loved to talk to people about her late husband, children and her family in Mexico. Justina loved to reminisce about her days in Mexico. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.
Justina is survived by her daughter, Carmen Sainz; sons, Hilario Sainz, Jr., Ernesto Sainz and Jose Sainz; granddaughters, Desirae Sainz and Haylie Sainz; grandson, Alexander Sainz; and her father, Emeterio Ortega. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hilario Sainz, Sr.
SERVICE INFORMATION:
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel.
A Recitation of the Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel .
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Greenfield.
Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
