Juanita Villasenor passed away on February 16, 2023 at Eden Valley Care Center in Soledad, California.  She was surrounded by her loved ones.  Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2023 at St. John's Baptist Catholic Church, King City.  Memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2023; officiating the services, Reverend Father Martel Ramos of St John's Baptist Catholic Church.

Juanita was born in Buena Vista, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Ruperto and Jovita Requena on November 24, 1935.  When she married Cesario Villasenor they decided to move to the United States.  Upon arriving Juanita embraced the agricultural opportunities.   She was a vineyard worker that specialized in grafting grape vines.  Juanita loved being outdoors and tending to the seasonal needs of the vineyards in the Salinas Valley.  She always had a small vineyard in her garden.  Her extensive, large garden at home bloomed with lush colorful flowers and trees.

Juanita enjoyed family gatherings, cooking authentic Spanish meals and listening to music.  Juanita was married to Cesario Villasenor for 70 years.  They had 8 children:  Ernestina, Eustolia, Loretta, Juan, Marie, Erlinda, Ilda and Irma; 32 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to the Cancer Society.  The family wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to the many family and friends for all their love, support and prayers.
