Juanita Flores, a long-time resident of both Huron and later San Ardo, California, passed away in the comfort of her home on October 29, 2021 at the age of 97. She was at peace surrounded by her loved ones, beloved dogs by her side, and her talkative parrot.

On June 24, 1924 Juanita was born in Corcoran, California. As the oldest of four, Juanita began her hardworking career very early in her life. She moved to Huron, California where she found her calling becoming the head chef of the Rancho Inn for many years. People knew her for her delicious meals and her booming cheerful laughter.

Towards the last part of her life, she moved to San Ardo where she spent time with friends and family. Juanita is preceded by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, two sons, and a grandson. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 11, 2021 at our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church, Cattlemen Rd., San Ardo, Calif.
