On July 26, 2017 Mr. Juan (Johnny) Vela Passed away in San Jose, Calif.  He was born in Brawley, Calif., April 29, 1944.

Johnny was married to Rosina Vela for 29 years.  Johnny's favorite pastimes were baseball, action movies and gardening.  He was a foreman for Frudden Produce for 25 years.

Johnny is survived by his wife Rosina; children, Joe Sabala (wife Jackie) of King City, Phil Sabala (wife Nancy) of Oxnard, Rosie Sabala of Campbell, Calif. and Gina Medina of Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandchildren: Kino, Aaron, Jacob, Rene, Raquel, David, Stephanie Medina; 3 great-grandchildren; brother Luis Vela, Sr., nephew Luis Vela, Jr. of Redding, Calif. and niece Melissa Baker of Jacksonville, Florida.

A Viewing will be held, Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5-8pm at Eddington Funeral ServicesChapel, 429 Bassett St., King City. A Funeral Service will be held, 10am, August 8, 2017 at Eddington Funeral Services Chapel. Burial will follow in King City Cemetery.  A Luncheon in honor of Johnny will be held at First Baptist Church, 450 King Street, King City 93930.
