Joseph Henry Moitoso, 66, of Gonzales CA passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026.  He was born on October 31, 1959, in Los Banos, California. Joseph was a lifelong residence of Gonzales.

He graduated from Gonzales High School in 1978. Joseph served in the Navy after graduating from high school. Upon discharging from the navy, he worked as a merchant marine for 20 years.

Joseph enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and the outdoors.

He is survived by his brother Roger (Barbara) and sister Annie. Nieces Neena, Leslie, Natalie, and Nyssa, nephews Gordon and Nicolas. He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio and Rosa Moitoso and brother Eddie.

In accordance with Joseph’s wishes, no services will be held and his ashes will be scattered at sea.
