Obituary
Jose "Joe" Funes passed away October 13, 2012 with his loved ones by his side.
His struggle with his disability and illness was hard fought and he was a trooper. He was brave until the end. Joe always believed and trusted in God. He was a good student and excelled in athletics. Joe loved his father and cherished his mother. He was adored by his family.
Joe is survived by his father, Jose Funes, Sr.; his mother, Francisca Corral; sister, Maricruz Funes; nieces, Suzanna and Breanna Medina; nephew, Jose Fernando Medina; girlfriend of 21 years, Rebecca Roberts and her children, Brenda Roberts, Leanna Roberts and Joey Roberts. He will also be missed by his 9 grandchildren, born into his life that affectionately called him "Papa". They are, Esparanza, Aleesa, Michaela, Tara Joe, Raven, Alejandra, Cynthia, Melody and Jeronimo III. He will also be missed by his very good friend Thomas Garcia, who helped care for him. Rest in peace Joe, you are finally "Safe at Home".
A VISITATION was held, 5pm – 7pm, followed by A ROSARY at 7pm, Thursday, October 18th, at St. John's Catholic Church. A FUNERAL MASS was held, 10am, Friday, October 19th at St. John's Catholic Church.
Joe was laid to rest in the King City District Cemetery
