John Willard Armer, 81 of King City passed away on August 29, 2022 at his home with his family at his side.  He was born May 12, 1941 in Paso Robles, Calif.

He was a graduate of King City High School.  He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union 3.  In his lifetime he was a carpenter in San Jose and Salinas. He owned Valley Sweep in King City and was a Correctional Officer, retired from CTF.  John was a member of the Salinas Ramblers. He enjoyed motorcycle racing, Bullpen Raceway and gardening.

John is survived by his wife, Diana L. McElmoyl; children, Joynel Armer, Jody Armer, Joan Madrid (husband Carlos), and Justin Armer grandchildren, Amanda, Sean, Kiri, and Audrey; great grandchildren, Kiara, Bae, Kasen, Kendyl, Kaden, Cohen, Cy, Raquell, and Josie; brother, Jerry (Helen) Armer; sister, Janice McCormack.  He is preceded in death by his son, Billy Armer.
