Obituary
Jesus Perez, 41 of King City passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014. He was born in Orange County Calif. on Dec 10, 1972 to Rito and Victoria Perez.
Jesus lived in Santa Ana, Calif. until the age of five. Soon after, the family moved to King City, Calif. He attended King City Elementary Schools. He set out to join the workforce early and did not complete his high school education in King City but eventually obtained his GED from Watsonville Adult School.
Jesus met the love of his life, Lori Ortiz, at the age of eleven. At that time, he enjoyed making fun of her braids and did not expect to end up making a life together with her. With time, they did get together and started a family. Jessie Daniel became the first addition to their young family. They traveled around a bit and returned to settle down and call King City their home. Anthony Isaiah joined the family a few years later.
Jesse learned the ropes of driving an 18-wheeler to support his family. Ultimately, he bought his classic Peterbilt and became a self-employed owner/operator. He enjoyed spending time with his sons; he loved barbequing with his family and friends. He spent many fun nights camping at San Antonio Lake and Pismo Dunes. If he got a chance to rest and watch some sports, he loved rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco Giants and the Chicago Bulls. He enjoyed his cars; from his 65 Impala to his 2007 Ford truck. He was a member of the King City Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by the love of his life, Lori Ortiz, his sons, Jessie Daniel (age 21) and Anthony Isaiah (age 15); his sister, Imelda Ramirez (Hector Ramirez); his brother, Jose Luis Perez (Hilda Perez) and his younger sister, Anadelia Tejeda (Jaime Tejeda). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends who will miss him and keep his name alive.
FUNERAL SERVICES:
A VISITATION is scheduled for Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 5pm to 9pm at St. John's Catholic Church
A ROSARY SERVICE is scheduled for 7pm, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church
A FUNERAL MASS will be held, 10am, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in King City Cemetery.
