On the morning of October 20th, 2015, Jesse Daniel Serrano passed away peacefully at UCSF Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Jesse was in between chemo treatments for his third battle with cancer in two-and-a-half years. Jesse was fighting a rare form of cancer named, Undifferentiated Spindle Cell Sarcoma.

Jesse Daniel Serrano, Age 24, of San Francisco, CA. Formerly of King City, Calif. Jesse Daniel Serrano, AKA "Tito", AKA "JD", was a young photographer and student at San Francisco State University.

Jesse loved his city, San Francisco and loved to spend time with his long-time friends and roommates. He loved exploring the city during the day but also enjoyed the nightlife. His hobbies and interests include bike riding, muni rides, concerts, museums, galleries, reading books, and hanging out with family and friends at Dolores Park. Jesse had a deep passion for art and photography. He was a man consumed with wanderlust and traveled to many places. Jesse left us with a trail of beautiful photos of those traveling days in places such as: New York, Mexico, Denmark, Rome, Berlin, Norway, Paris, London, Sweden, Barcelona, Copenhagen and Amsterdam to name a few. Jesse undoubtedly lived his life the way he wanted to, showing respect towards others along the way. Jesse had so many stories to share and will always be remembered.

Jesse was born July 6th, 1991 in Salinas, Calif. He is the 3rd of four children of parents Letty and Jesse Serrano. Jesse's electric soul touched the lives of all of those around him. Jesse was truly himself. Jesse was a fun loving, honest, and kindhearted son, brother, cousin, and uncle.

Jesse was preceded in death by his grandmother, Paulina "Nana" Medina, who passed away on March 22nd, 2012.

Jesse is survived by his parents, Jesse and Letty Serrano; his younger brother, Nathan Matthew Serrano 19; his two sisters, Nadine Serrano 27 and Vianca Savannah Serrano 26; his aunts and uncles and their children, Patty Hernandez (Roberto), Ana Mora (Jose Luis), Ruby Ruiz (Vincent), Jose Daniel Serrano, Juan Serrano, Lilia Nuck (Patrick), Adriana Giudici (James), Alicia Diaz (Ernie), Carolina Medina (Junior), Jose Medina and Ramiro Medina; Grandparents Jose "Tata" Medina, Maria and Daniel "Papa Danny" Serrano and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jesse had a beautiful and positive personality filled with charisma that could only be matched by his beautiful and natural smile that we all got used to seeing. Jesse Daniel will truly be missed by all of those who knew him.
