CELEBRATION OF LIFE PLANNED:

A Celebration of Life will be held, 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Salinas Valley Fair Grounds – Long Branch, 625 Division St., King City, CA

On June 29, 2025 Jean Marie King passed away peacefully.  Jean was born September 11 1953, in Pasadena, California.

Jean graduated from King City High School class of 1971, Jean worked at Maggio Carrot shed during carrot harvest season, She worked for many years at King City Medical Clinic as a Record Clerk.  Her greatest career path was with the California Department of Forestry later with Cal-Fire, she started out as  Office Assistance answering the phones and filing, promoted many times, where she worked as Personal Specialist. She loved her job and her firefighters she would rehire every year. The firefighters could always call her for any advice. Early in her career she would respond to fire base camps to assist with equipment hire and pay.

Jean enjoyed ceramic where she worked at the ceramic shop in King City when it was located at the old truck stop on first street now known as Izzy Market, she was an instructor and taught few years the 4H kids. Jean also loved going camping at the lake with family and friends. Many times you would find her and Jolley on the road traveling with there travel trailer.

She is survived by her Sons Allen King, Dean (Sara) King, grandkids, Sierra (Jordan) Council, Halyn King, Dean King Jr. numerous nephews and nieces.

Preceding Jean in death was her mother Phyllis Craft her husband Luther "Jolley" King, sister Ilene Craft, brother David Chubbic
