Janice Harp, 80, of Greenfield passed away peacefully surrounded by her Family on March 5 ^th , 2022 after a long battle with Alzheimer's at Eden Valley Care Center where she resided the last 15 years. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed

Janice was born to Erton and Lavern Sims at their home in Greenfield on April 28, 1941. She was the youngest of four children.

When her children were little and in elementary school she worked at the same school in the cafeteria and as an aide in the classroom. She also volunteered as a Girl Scout leader when her girls were young.  She then went to work as the bookkeeper for her husband's Heating and Air Conditioning Company until his passing in 1993.

Janice loved to play cards, dice games and do search a word. She also loved to crochet, and we have many of the dollies she crocheted.

She is survived by her son: David (Karen) Harp and two daughters Esther Harp and Joy (Dell) Hemingway.

Grandchildren: Ashley (Gabe) Langton, Robert (Kayla) Harp, Matthew Harp, Beau and Blake Hemingway. Great-grandmother: Holden, Zia, Emery Langton, Lauren, Avery, and Taylor Harp. Siblings: David Sims.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Erton and Lavern Sims; her husband, Bobby Harp; her sister' Phillis Taylor, and her Brother, Charles Sims.

SERVICES:

A Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 11 ^th at the Eddington Funeral Chapel, 429 Bassett St. in King City.

A Graveside Service will be held, 11 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022 in the King City District Cemetery.
