Obituary
Jim was born in Dubuque, Iowa and lived the majority of his life in California. He passed away on October 26, 2013 in Paso Robles, Calif.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy, of 58 years; his daughter, Vicky (Lonnie) Green of Penngrove, CA and son, Rick (Cindy) Walker of Paso Robles, CA; his grandkids, Caitlin and Taylor Walker and Kim (Jason) Nyberg and Jerry Green; great-grandkids Matthew Perez, Nathan and Logan Nyberg; his sisters, Shirley (Jim) Roeth of Dubuque, IA and Elaine Galliart of East Dubuque, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim worked his early years for City of King and then moved on to become building inspector for Tri-Cities. On January 5, 1988, he became Chief Building Inspector of Monterey County where he retired from in 1993.
Jim's hobbies included woodworking, reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with family.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice.
At Jim's request, there will be a private service.
